چکیده
Dandruff is a scalp disorder caused by fungus ( Malassezia sp. ). Water spinach Ipomoea aquatica ) contains phenolic compounds which has antifungal activity. The purpose of this research to know the active fraction herb antidandruff activity against study used true experimental design test. Fractionation column chromatography stationary phase with silica gel 60 powder and mobile chloroform/methanol/acetyl acetate (8/2/0,1 v/v/v). In vitro based on minimum inhibitory consentration (MIC) (MFC) human dandruff isolate. average MIC MFC among groups compared Friedman test (p≤ 0,05). 7 water have (MIC 125 µg/mL 250 µg/mL). Based results, identified as compound.

Protein Extraction from Water Spinach (ipomoea Aquatica)
Extractability of protein in water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica Forsk., I. reptans Poir), a possible source of food protein concentrate was examined. Fresh and fresh frozen leaves were extracted by the conventional bufferhomogenate method at room temperature and by a method involving pre-treatment of the leaves with polar and nonpolar solvents. Pre-treatment of leaves with dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO)...

The aquatic plant water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica), either wild or cultivated, is found throughout Southeast Asia and is a widely consumed vegetable in the region. Many of the waters where I. aquatica grows serve as recipients for domestic and other types of wastewater. Because these waters contain not only nutrients, but often also a wide variety of pollutants such as heavy metals from various...
متن کاملWater Spinach, Ipomoea aquatica (Convolvulaceae), Ameliorates Lead Toxicity by Inhibiting Oxidative Stress and Apoptosis
BACKGROUND Ipomoea aquatica (Convolvulaceae), an aquatic edible plant, is traditionally used against heavy metal toxicity in India. The current study intended to explore the protective role of edible (aqueous) extract of I. aquatica (AEIA) against experimentally induced Pb-intoxication. METHODS The cytoprotective role of AEIA was measured on mouse hepatocytes by cell viability assay followed ...
متن کاملIpomoea aquatica extract shows protective action against thioacetamide-induced hepatotoxicity.
In the Indian system of traditional medicine (Ayurveda) it is recommended to consume Ipomoea aquatica to mitigate disorders like jaundice. In this study, the protective effects of ethanol extract of I. aquatica against liver damage were evaluated in thioacetamide (TAA)-induced chronic hepatotoxicity in rats. There was no sign of toxicity in the acute toxicity study, in which Sprague-Dawley (SD)...
